Dr. Jeremy Simpler is a board certified general surgeon with specialty training in complex incisional hernia repair and robotic hernia repair (the surgeon places a tiny camera and uses small instruments). Dr. Simpler attended medical school at The University of South Alabama School of Medicine in Mobile, AL, and his residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, AL.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Hernia Society and the Laparoendoscopic surgeons. Dr. Simpler also has vast training and experience in Wound Care, robotic hernia repair and colon surgery and provides services at Singing River Hospital Wound Care Center. He joined SMS in August of 2010.
